Dr. Jones Opoku-Ware
Dr. Jones Opoku-Ware is a Lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Social Work (KNUST). He holds Ph.D in Sociology (KNUST), MSc Development Management (University of Agder – Kristiansand-Norway), BSc Sociology and Social Work, and a Senior High School Certificate from Prempeh College, Kumasi-Ghana. He has several research publications and has attended many training workshops and conferences both as a participant and as a facilitator locally and internationally. He has received awards such as Best Sociology and Social Work (2007), Academic Honors Award (1st Class) in 2007, (KNUST)-2007. His research interest is in Crime and Criminological Issues, Development and Governance Issues, Social Deviance, Social Structural and Behavioral Analysis. Teaches Management for Sustainable Development, Environmental Planning and Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation for Development Specialists, Research Method for Development, Quality Management, Personality Development at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. He is active in face-to-face and online teaching. He handles courses such as Introductory Sociology, Social Organization and World Cultures, Deviance and Social Control.

- Evaluating and monitoring the implementation of projects under Teacher Community Assistant Initiative Project (TCAI) in the
- Teaching and facilitating the mobile phone-based research tool and technology called 4Mox for all Headteachers, District and Regional Directors of Education in Brong Ahafo and Ashanti region during workshops and
- Organizing and facilitating workshops on project operations and components for field
Supervising and managing five (5) teams of 50 surveyors in the testing of school pupils’ abilities in Ghana.
